Danielle Scruggs - Photographer
For the past seven years, I have had the pleasure and privilege to work in a wide range of environments related to photography, arts and culture, including The Washington Post, where I was a news aide and photo desk assistant; the Liberator Magazine, an arts and culture journal where I served as visual arts editor, Charm City Current, a blog network owned by the Baltimore Sun where I blogged weekly about photography, and Mambu Badu, a photography collective I co-founded in 2010. I also work at LivingSocial as a photo editor and in-house photographer.
My own photography is defined by my love of storytelling, and my use of natural light and candid moments to tell the story of the people, places, and things I encounter.

"Danielle has shot several portraits of me and consistently produces beautiful images. Technical skills aside, she's wonderfully personable and maintains a high level of professionalism (and has a very quick turnaround time). Always happy to refer her to others." – Allison, Client
"Danielle Scruggs is among a handful of photographers I would trust taking pictures of me. Not only are the pictures themselves phenomenal, working with her is a comfortable and professional experience. She put me at ease and never wavered in her confidence in how to best capture me. I will call on her again and again." – Mychal, Client
